A little bit about me…
I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. I attended Rice University and graduated with a degree in Biochemistry. After working as a research assistant in a biology laboratory and later as a market research analyst for a home lender, I attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where I graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
I have always had an interest in building and construction (building and designing with Legos from an early age), as well as a knack for all things requiring manual dexterity and dimensional perception.
In 2012, I founded Sawtooth Designs of Austin to bring my ideas and those of my clients to tangible form. After several years of training via online and in-person classes, I started building full time. Since then, I have received several awards and recognition for my furniture work, but what drives me is getting better at my craft with every project. I live in Austin with my wife, Megan, and enjoy hiking, Austin FC games, and throwing darts at one of many fine dartboard establishments around town.
